Do you ever feel unqualified?
Moses did.
I love God’s response to Moses when he asked, “WHO AM I to bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
The Lord didn’t list off the great qualities & strengths that made Moses qualified.
In fact, he didn’t focus on Moses at all.
_____
God simply said: “I will be with you.” (Exodus 3:12)
_____
If it was all about Moses, I think the Lord would have rattled off his many strengths.
But he didn’t. He just told him, “I will be with you.”
I think what the Lord wants is humility and an open heart to his leading, not ours.
If you’re feeling unqualified in parenting, starting something, leading something, balancing everything, just getting three meals on the table,
anything,
remember the Lord’s words:
“I will be with you.”
Hear it again:
“I will be with you.”
Breathe. He is WITH you.
We can do this.
Not so much because we’re all that, but because He IS.
“Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40
