Rocks at the Dinner Table

unnamed-8This is a simple way to encourage peace instead of bickering at your dinner table. Write a fruit of the Spirit on each rock and put them in a jar. During dinner, each person picks a rock & shares how a family member has shown that fruit of the Spirit. (Thank you for this idea, Shannon!) “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23
I’m excited to highlight an organization that connects with today’s post, called “Pleiades”. They create heirloom-quality clothing for children, every purchase providing refuge to homeless and at-risk women. You can read more here: http://www.pleiades-designs.com. The heart behind Pleiades is Colossians 3:12-15 “Put on a new kind of wardrobe: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength and discipline. Be at peace, and quick to forgive offenses. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.”
